Though according to what he's said on his show this week, that's due to
change in the near future. They have to build out a lot of server
infrastructure first, though, to handle the expected load, but once
that's done you'll be able to listen online (assuming you have a Sirius

I'm going to "look into" what would be involved making a Sirius plugin. It's more "network-involved" than my SuperDateTime plugin, but I'll give it a shot. I give myself 50/50 chance of going ahead with it.

I bougth the SB3 with SqueezNetwork access to listen to commercial free music, with world wide news and absolutely free of folks like Stern.. smile... and hey - I get it for free... what was your question.. smile... no seriously... I would not pay for SatRadio as I think it can not match InternetRadio - and there is no need to listen to that through the SB3. But I am sure many people would pay..

Sirius subscribers get access to the web streams for no additional cost. I don't care for Howard Stern, either, but Sirius has about 100 commercial-free music channels, lots of talk channels, NFL and college sports, etc. I'd gladly pay a one-time fee of $10 to have access to that anywhere in my home anytime. My experience with web-based radio has been less than ideal with lots of dropouts on many of the streams I have tried.

There are lots of shows on TV I don't like and never watch, but I still pay for cable. How about you? BTW, Sirius surpassed the subscriber goals they set when they hired Stern, and even with the recent pullback, the stock price is at least 50% higher than it was when the Stern deal was announced, so the arrangement seems to be paying off.

million other listeners who bought Sirius for Howard. And *that's*
why he gets paid the money he does.

You don't like him? Fine, he's not for everyone. That's why there's a
tuner knob on your radio. But why disparage those of us who are able
to enjoy him?
