I've just installed slimserver on a new machine and have a weird problem. I can't connect to 127.0.0.1:9000
I have a webserver running on the same computer on ports 80 and 8080 and I'm able to connect to 127.0.0.1:8080 just fine.
However, I can connect to 192.168.1.101:9000 (ip of said computer)
Any ideas? Security settings have allow from 127.0.0.1,192.168.1.*

Interesting. Have you tried http://localhost:9000 instead?

Using any skins or other add-ons? Is it a fresh install?

How do I set up my firewall to allow Squeezebox to communicate with the server?
Windows: Windows XP Service Pack 2 turns on a built-in firewall by default. You will need to configure the firewall to allow access to Slim Server. To do this:
Go to Control Panel
Click Security Center
Click Windows Firewall under 'Manage security settings for:'
Click the Exceptions tab
You will then need to add three exceptions for these ports by clicking 'Add Port...':
Port number: 3483 (TCP) - Name: SlimServer Control
Port number: 3483 (UDP) - Name: SlimDiscovery
Port Number: 9000 (TCP) - Name: SlimServer Web

Just thought I'd follow up... It has something to do with Checkpoint VPN client installed...
