I just installed a new Watchguard X5w router in my network. I can connect to SqueezeNetwork and see the stations connect, (the display scrolls after pressing play). However, when I look at "Now playing" it shows the selection as "stopped". It is fresh out of the box and I do not have any rules activated in the firewall so it should allow any IP to any IP from the trusted network to the external network. ???
I did have a early Watchguard X5 in prior to this and did not need to do any special firewall programming to use SqueezeNetwork. Are there any special ports on squeezenetwork.com I need to be sure are open on my Watchguard? I'm wondering if the latest version may be more protective that the early one and be blocking something...
Thanks,
JazzFan

no replies?
I thought this would be an easy question. How about I rephrase...
What ports does SqueezeNetwork stream in on?
Thanks,

I see the standard streaming port of 3843 in use when I connect.

Re: Routing question
Port 3483 is used for user interface to the SqueezeNetwork servers.
Other outgoing ports are used to connect to the radio stations, and
that port number depends on the station's URL.

Thanks, I'll check my firewall
It seems to block everything so I'll check the SqueezeNetwork port.

Twilight Zone
I went to check out the SB2 and router. I turned it on and it's playing. RadioIO and the others are sounding great.
???
I still can't stream WMA through SqueezeNetwork or from SlimServer, but that's another topic.
Looks like this was a Rod Sterling case...
Thanks for the help,
JazzFan
