Yep, Dan and I are working on that FLAC tag code currently. A higher level
answer to your question is that both Ogg and FLAC use Vorbis tags, although
the implementation of these tags in each format differs. FLAC's
documentation is a bit easier to read. We'll eventually be supporting MPC
and APE, as well as WavPack (I think) and all of those formats use APE v2
tags. Once I've seen a good example of how we want these tag-reading
modules written, I'll jump on it ASAP - and then you can add those to your
album cover script capability as well.
