I'd like to store playlists in the db without having them on the player.
Shoutcast writes its history of heard streams to disk using its own
routines. I think it's about time to give the slimserver's routines
another try.
- how can I read/write playlists to the db? They do not exist in a player
object, but are just a list of streams (the "recently played" lists)
- playlists should be clearly assignable to a player but not show up in
the playlist browse. How should they be named? So far the plugin used its
own folder with the player's MAC address as playlist name.
- or should I "abuse" the server preferences to store them?
Regards,
