EAC ripps: Am I doing this right?

In EAC I select all tracks and then, under the action tab, just use the "copy selections" (uncompressed) command. Am I doing this right to create wav files or is there a better way. I'm not sure about the options like "copy using indices"

To rip to flac, you need to choose "compressed" to use the encoder you
    have configured.

Also to be absolutely sure that you're getting a perfect copy you want to do a Test & Copy Selections (Compressed) which reads the CD twice to ensure that both copies are identical.

That takes double the time and has debatible value but if you're doing this once for a music archive, it can't hurt.

Have you read and applied all of these settings?

I thought EAC automatically checked to see if there were errors in the copy process?

Indeed it does... and thats why Testing may in fact be redundant. Testing rips the track a second time then compares the first rip to the second, if there is a difference, its shown in the track listviews by a difference the CRC checks between the tracks.

Personally I've never seen a CRC difference between tracks that EAC did not note had read errors... but I've heard of it happening.

I've certainly seen it in burst mode, never in secure mode.

EAC doesn't compare the test read with the copy read. It only reports the CRCs and it's up to you to notice the discrepancy.
