Hi,
I've never used the SlimServer iTunes integration, but I'd like to start
doing so. I have SlimServer running on a 250gb LinkStation, and I run iTunes
on my Powerbook; do I need to store my iTunes library information on the
server, or do I need to use some intermediary software solution?
Cheers,
bub.

Itunes and SlimServer
Good question - I actually tried exactly the same but no success so far. My
Linkstation is working fine with slimserver itself but I am missing
the playlist features I had with Itunes. It's actually not enough to simply
place the Itunes database on the linkstation - that's how much I found out
so far...
Anyone else any ideas?
Cheers,
Manuel

You can use mt-daapd to make your linkstation an iTunes server.
I'm not sure where you would find binaries for the linkstation, but http://mt-daapd.org would be a good place to start!
let us know what you find, this is something I will be interested in doing once I make the plunge and get myself a linkstation.

For mt-daapd on the LinkStation:
Download http://linkstationwiki.org/downloads...-0.2.1.1-1.tgz
Unpack the archive to your LinkStation filesystem root. Then run the
installation script:
../install.sh
