    Greg,

    I spoke too soon.

Today, superdatetime just stops refreshing. no error message in the log. it was stuck for 4 hours. Once I restarted squeezecenter it started refreshing again.

I am having no network problems. Everything is working and there are no errors in the log.

Is there any more testing I can do to pinpoint this?

I have made the modification to IR/Default.map, but holding the Size button doesn't do a darn thing. I'm running SC7, and the screensaver works just fine in screensaver mode.

    NCAA Tournament Scores

Just wondering if anyone is seeing the NCAA basketball scores? I have college basketball set to ALL but don't have any scores displaying as of 3PM EST Friday?

I understand the GUI clutter issue ... but this control probably should be externalised so that the 10day forecast format can be easily set to match the 'current' formats ... for all of us users in 'metric'/MKS countries. Just a single switch, like for the Long Weather Forecast format, could do. In fact, you could probably use a set of global switches that would apply to all displays and simplify the Time/Weather format strings. Just a suggestion ...
I know I know... Long ago before all the '%' format string there was actually a setting just like this. But people requested more customization and the '%' were born.

I'm using SqueezeCenter in linux, so maybe there are different paths to the correct prefs file. There's a Plugin.pm file in the SuperDateTime folder in the SC Plugins directory which had %_5/%_7 in the 'weatherformat' section as per your instructions. However, changing these to %_6 and %_8 hasn't changed the displayed temperature format - it's still in farenheit.
Do you know the path of the preferences file that you talk about above in linux, as I can't find an equivalent to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\prefs\plugin file. There doesn't appear to be anything similar in /usr/share/squeezecenter, apart from /usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins/SuperDateTime/Plugin.pm.
I'd really appreciate any help you could provide, your plugin is exactly what I need.
Oh yeah, I'm running 5.5.0 of the plugin on SC7.
Thanks very much for your help,
    jakes.
    Hi Jakes-

Plugin.pm is actually the plugin itself and would require different changes to accomplish what you're looking for. I don't have a Linux installation to look at to determine the preference file location. I would think some grepping or forum searching should help you find it.

    Hi Bruce-

I'm sorry you're having some issues. Did you recently upgrade your player firmware? This often causes the plugin to loose track of the player until SC is restarted or you hit the '+' remote button to force a refresh.

Greg, I've finally updated to SC7 and added SDT and Coastal Tides. Two questions: I can't figure out how to get the tide information to display, and is wind direction no longer an option for the weather display? Also added Sirius. Thanks for all of your work on these plugins.

EDIT: I see the wind direction. Disregard that question.

Thanks very much for your response, Greg. It's all working now. I used grep - learnt a new linux command (don't know why I hadn't come across it before it's extremely useful). Found the prefs file. It was in a directory not mentioned on the SlimServerPlugins page. I'm using ClarkConnect on my server - preferences files are located in /var/lib/squeezecenter/prefs/plugin.
Hopefully that may help someone who is looking for the file in future. Thanks again,
    jakes.
