Try and copy and paste the directory I gave into your Internet Explorer. That will take you right to the proper directory even if it is hidden.
Then you can delete the .prefs fils.

If that doesnt work, I would recomend that you just uninstall the plug-in, then reinstall, and just make sure you dont go into the setting screen for superdatetime until you run it once on the boombox (its okay to go into the settings screen and set superdatetime as you power off screensaver). Im assuming that uninstalling will delete the .prefs file.

    Hope that helps.
    Hi SqueezeEd,

I do appreciate the help you are giving me.

I did the re-install and I also found the stand-by font and set it to standard narrow. That brought much more text info.
I still can't see the time with the weather. ?
I noticed in an earlier post from you a mention turning ICONS on. I have not found where to do that. ?

Unable to get MLB to work

The weather portion of the plug-in works great; Trying to get the MLB part of the plug-in to work. Must be missing something. Configure the plug-in with both individual teams and “all” teams but never see any baseball related information on the screen.

It's pretty common for pre-season scores to not show up for pretty much any of the sports. The website sometimes uses different HTML so the parsing doesn't work like it did during the previous regular season. That said, it's also not uncommon for the regular season to not work right away because the website changes to a new look and feel.

Greg is a Cubs fan and this is their year so he'll have it working for the regular season.

Sorry if I'm being dim. Did a quick search through this thread.

    Anyway, I've selected "High/Low (°C) = %Z"

    So my 3 lines are:
    %2. Now: %T
    %y: %v. Rain: %x
    %Z. Sunset: %S. Wind: %w

However, on my line 3 I just get "High: 6°" (see attaced blurry pic), whereas I was expecting a figure for high and for low. Is there something I'm misunderstanding?

I'm on Version: 7.3.2 - 24695 with a squeezebox and v5.8.4 of superdatetime installed via the extension downloader.

    Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: just noticed it's changed to Low now. What's the pattern? What's the reasoning?

I think it switches between showing high and low around 2 in the afternoon. Not sure when it does the AM switch. I'm never awake for it.

Is there a way to "invert" the display of this screensaver so that I can use the "rest" of the pixels on my screen? Could this possibly be implemented as a future feature?

Sorry for the lagged response. I've been consumed with work and life but things are getting back to normal now.

I'm curious about the burn in you're seeing. I have players of similar age with nothing. Can you take some pictures?

    Thanks.

You need to install the plugin the 'old fashion way' and not use extension downloader. Within the zips lib directory you'll find the .par file.

Hmmmmm I know I had it 'long ago'. I must have dropped it accidentally. Shouldn't be hard to bring back. I'm working on some other stuff for the plugin but I'll try to remember to revisit it.

Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered already, but I really did search: Is there a way to implement the "press and hold 'size' to see the screensaver" feature in SC7+? I notice on your website that you've marked the instructions as needing updating for 7 and am wondering if someone could shed some light on how to do it. Many thanks.
It's definitely possible... I actually figured it out one day and then inadvertently blew away the install directory with a later Squeeze Center beta before posting the required changes... Does someone wanna figure er out for everyone?

The not so good part is the current behavior. There's an NHL game for one of my teams tonight, so the display is alternating between current weather and the display of the game start time. But rather than waiting the specified interval between the two displays, I get the two chasing each other off the screen continuously. There is effectively no delay for either display no matter what I set the interval times to.

Any thoughts on what might be happening here?

    Thanks.

    - Jeff
Weird. Can you check the actual saved pref file in SC to ensure your times are getting set correctly? Also try restarting SC (which I'm sure you've done).
