FWIW, I saw the same behavior on both OS X installs I tried. I will try to get it installed on a Windows box and see if I have any issues. I'm trying to hold off messing with my main setup until I can migrate to SC7 and the updated Thecus build. I'd be glad to help troubleshoot or give you a VNC login to my OS X box if that would assist.

I and other have had constant problems with some plugins not working with 7.0 running on Mac OS X (SuperDateTime being one of them), and it appears the problem has not been fixed.
However, there is a way to get your problem plugings working. Credit for the following work around goes to another member of this forum, WhaleOil.
Thanks again WhaleOil for your post.
I lifted the text he wrote helping me with this issue, here you go.....

I am using Leopard too. I suspect the problem is somewhere between SC7.0 and the plugins themselves and may be to do with the changing location of the plugins and preferences.
So far, I can get all the plugins I have tried to work when I put them in the PreferencePane folder here: ~Users/yourusername/Library/PreferencePanes/SqueezeCenter.prefpane/Contents/server/Plugins
(When you navigate to the PreferencePanes folder you will see an icon for SqueezeCenter.prefpane. In order to get to the folders inside this you need to right-click (or ctrl-click) on the icon and choose Show Package Contents. You will then be able to navigate to /Contents/server. In this folder there is already an empty Plugins folder. You can then just drag the various plugin folders into this folder. There is also a Bin folder which you may need for some plugins (like mplayer.sh which comes with AlienBBC).)
However, this is not ideal as it means that you have to re-install the plugins each time you upgrade to a new version of SqueezeCenter as the installation replaces all of the PreferencePane.
I think the correct place to put the plugins is in
~Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/SqueezeCenter/Plugins
but to date I have only been able to get iTunesUpdate to work when put in this folder. However, I am still waiting for someone to confirm if this is correct...
Good luck
WhaleOil
PS The paths above assume that you have installed SC7.0 just for one user. If you have installed it for all users then you will need to replace the ~Users/yourusername/Library/ bit for ~/Library/

Thanks! That worked for me. I did have to go back to the 12/16 file, but not sure if it was just removing and dropping it back in there that did it for me since I never had a working version on my SC7 installation.
Continued thanks to GoCubs for the great work on this. Wife is a weather junkie and she now wants the same type of info on every spare screen in the house.Last edited by twylie; 2008-01-01 at 17:58.

Hey Mitch-
I believe this is a bug in the SC7 version of the plugin. I noticed it a while back and forgot about it. Not many people use the long forecasts (myself included) so it wasn't much of a priority. I'll try to look at it today, but I'm traveling a lot again and time is tight.

Love the long-range forecast on the Jive! Just one question: is there any way to get the temp in celsius (the screensaver settings don't seem to affect what's displayed on the jive).

I just installed the latest nightly of SC7 (SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 16607 - Debian - EN - utf8) and now I am not getting any weather feeds through on SuperDateTime. I'm not seeing anything in the logs. I'm not 100% sure that it's due to the SC7 upgrade: could be coincidental and due to to weather.com changes (seem to recall that happened once before).
