    Hi there,

I've just picked up a second hand PC for my slim server and am about to
    start converting CD's.

So is there a primer / FAQ on what is the best format / easiest way to
    do this.

I'd like something that will connect to the net and download the track
data, freeware/shareware better. Win2K as os and i'd like excelent
quality over file size, but raw wavs are probably a bit overkill !

Don't mind a bit of techy set-up, but once configured it would be nice
    to load and forget etc.

    Ta,
    Lee

Pat Farrell wrote up an excellent primer on how to do just this very thing.
EAC and FLAC works wonders for me.
