    server.log: Slim::Formats::Playlists::Base::playlistEntryIsVal id (125)

    I just did an update to test digimaster's new installer, and while looking for a reason for the slow startup, I found this (unrelated?) warnings in the server.log:

    Error: Successfully initialized ACL filetests? Is this good or bad?

    The file not found error seems a bit odd, too, considering the files have not been moved or renamed in ages.

    It's good - if you need it. "error" is misleading. I should probably
    change that.

    Have you activated ACL file tests ? Itís a setting in LMS , if one donít need it it should not be on .

    Ok do you need it, itís useful if your system use ACL otherwise not .

    With a lot of help, I fixed this.

    That's my problem: I do not know if I need it. I have a QNAP with "Advanced Folder Permissions" enabled and "Windows ACL support" disabled.

    I thought I could disable the ACL plugin with no further consequences. I tried that, otherwise I wouldn't have asked in the first place. But I disabled it now and LMS was not able to scan my music. So it's a keeper.

    The other problem seems to be related, as DJanGo suggested that some execute permissions get lost if using ACLs, but they are needed for playlists. Is there any way to use ACLs and playlists?

    Edit:

    Is there any way to use ACLs and playlists?
    Yes:

    http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...l=1#post903803

    The problem was the disabled user "squeezeboxserver". While it was no problem playing files, it couldn't read files via playlists, hence the error.
