Switching between two LMS instances on the same network

I have two LMS 7.9 servers on the same network (one running on Windows, the other on Linux). I'd like the Linux server to act as a backup/failover for the Windows server. I have a bunch of clients:
    - 2 Squeezebox Booms
    - 1 Squeezebox Classic
    - 1 Squeezeplay PC player
    - 2 Squeezeplayer Android players

My question is: what do I need to do to switch a player from one LMS server instance to the other?

On my Squeezebox server (PC) the player appears here

Click on that dropdown and you be able to all players and which Server they are connected

You can move players to servers as required there

I see my players in that list, but can't see how to move them to a different server:

    Depends on the player.

The Booms and Classic, press and hold the left rocker button till it bumps, then scroll to the server you wish to connect to.

The PC Squeezeplay player, Select My Music > Switch Library >

Not sure about you Android players, depends on the app.

In all cases if both servers are running you can pull a player from one LMS instance to another using the web UI.

Many thanks for that. I've just realised that I don't see anything below the line in my dropdown list of players because my 2nd LMS server doesn't yet have any players linked to it!
