    Discnumber higher than 254

    Hi,

I use the discnumber field to sort my Perry Rhodan audiobooks. As an example the audiobook 2903 "Der Bund der Schutzgeister" have the disknumber 2903 and disc sort number 2903. But the LMS only shows Discnumber 254 from 254. Is this a bug?

Disc Number is not a catalogue or description identifier, it refers to which CD in a numbered set as is Disc 2 of 3 for Billy Joel's Greatest hits. I would image that 254 might very well be a limit as I can't even think of a CD bundle with 254 CDs in the set much less 2903. I would use the catalogue number field or some other description field to label and sort them. There is nothing to prevent you from using a number in an alphanumeric field that one usually would think would contain text and then use the numbers you put in that field to sort the audiobooks numerically.

No, by design: the disc field in the database is of "tinyint" type.
    Which is 0-254.

Thanks for all the answers. So I need to think of a redesign of my tag schema for Perry Rhodan Audio Books.

Best way would be to create an album "Perry Rhodan" and use track number for the individual books. I know for a fact that this supports at least 10000 tracks

Or put the disknumber into the Album (Book) Title e.g.

Use leading zeros to order them correctly

    0001 Title 1
    0002 Title 2

    Shouldn't that be 0-255?
