What is the fastest SBC for LMS?

I only use LMS with Tidal HIFI. Don't do any NAS, USB hard drive, etc. I have a Rpi3 running the LMS but I feel like it is not fast enough when I browse Tidal on the iPhone app. There is some lag, etc.

I am not even sure if I would see any difference if I got a little faster SBC since one does not have a huge performance over another???

I have read here Odroid-U3 is good but not it is discontinued.

There is a new Kickstarter SBC here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-dev-board-for

I wonder how this one performs.

I do not want to spend more than $75 on a SBC.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

What app? And what aspect of it is slow? When using music services, most
of the processing is done on remote servers (mysqueezebox.com), or in
the app (for the display). The LMS instance doesn't have much to do in
that case. The Pi3 should be plenty fast for this use case.

The stock and iPeng both have the same issue. Only Tidal HIFI. I am not talking about a huge lag but it is just not too snappy.

What what is lagging? Artwork display? Menu navigation? Scrolling? Music
    playback?

In your setup the path from touching a menu to seeing some action goes
    app -> LMS -> mysb.com -> Tidal (probably multiple times) -> mysb.com ->
LMS -> app. Obviously there's more latency than in eg. Tidal's app which
would go straight to their servers. But your LMS isn't causing much of
it. You could try to cut a few milliseconds there. But IMHO the effort
isn't worth it, as most of the time is spent elsewhere.

Yeah all of that in general but again not a huge lag, just not too snappy. Maybe I am just too picky
