Yes, this is absolutely that my UPnP Bridge plugin provides. What you will *not* get is synchro between other LMS speakers and Sonos. If you have created a Sonos group, then sending a track to any group member will play in sync with all players of the group.

What do looks have to do with sound or performance, NOTHING. Additionally they only sound good to people that think Bose is actually making stereo audio speakers! Are they useable with the LMS plugins, yes, but why go there in the first place due to the expense and poor sound quality. If you just want a distraction or background music sure, but if one really wants to hear what was actually recorded and played back as accurately as possible, then Sonos AIN'T IT!

My better half thought music was music and speakers were speakers so a boom box was all that was needed. I took her to the Atlanta Symphony and we have been going back ever since. I put a classical CD in the boom box for her to listen to, then put the same album Flac Files through the Transporter and our mains and now music isn't just music and boom boxes are just noise makers and not speakers!

What answer to expect? You're obviously putting me in some category of idiots and I might well be. Still, I never said that look has something to do with sound, I'm not that stupid, no need to shout. I just said that I think they look good.

I appreciate the difference, thanks - I go to the opera pretty often and to concerts as well, I'm not a home listener, that's all

Last time I went to the opera was about 30 years ago ... now the nearest opera is over 400 km away, so I guess what I think won't cut much ice,

I think they look good and sound good, but then my hearing is so poor nowadays almost anything sounds good. So it's a bit academic really.

That they work so well with your plugin is such a massive plus - thanks again!.

Checking the Sonos forum about the new alexa-enabled Play One suggests that the implementation leaves a lot to be desired - many features missing, buggy software. Quite a few new owners threatening to return. Unusual for Sonos products.
