Hmm... our latest change was about three weeks ago. But it shouldn't
    impact this.

I believe the issue has nothing to do with podcasts but streaming file.

When the URL below is saved as a favorite - on both mysb.com & LMS.

When played on LMS - file length is known and ff/rew will work but on mysb the filelength is known but ff/rew doesn't work.

Edited: the following was a bit over-hasty
    Sorry for that!

    Yippee!

Since today (at least) things have changed and everything works fine, as it has done until some weeks ago.

If anybody of you has helped to make this happen, I want to say a big thank-you!

    Are you sure ?
No change in the code has been logged and my supposed reproduction of problem with BBC podcast still cannot do FFW/REW on mysb.com which it can do on LMS.

You are right. Problem not solved.

If I use your bbc-podcast it does not work. Also many of my usual sources for streams don't work with timeshift/FF.

    But try this one:

    http://hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/6/4/c/64cd...cca7cf160b058d

I saved it to my favorites. If i play it from there, the displayed url changes (must be magic) to

    https://secure-hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/6/...a7092541f0ecf4

Now I can use the FF/timeshift.

    going weird

Another weird behavior which I could observe while testing:

Saved https://images.singletracks.com/podc...er_updates.mp3 under favorites. FF/timeshift works fine.

Then I used the relevant feed http://www.singletracks.com/blog/feed/podcast/ within the podcast-application which leads to the same url-source "https://images.singletracks.com/podcast/summer_updates.mp3" when playing the "summer-update"-episode. But now FF/timeshift generally won't work. Oddly enough it does at least for some minutes, if I unplug power supply and thus reboot the Sqeezebox Radio.

Not all Podcast sources support the "byte-range" HTTP header which enables ff/rew - so to be sure tests need to be carried out using other player (e.g. VLC) or possibly LMS.

I can't do anything except what I have already tested - it is up to Michael to suggest next step but it is not an issue which affects me - I just find it curious.
