Browsing folders with visible album covers

I like squeezebox but miss browsing through the folders (not through the albums) with visible album covers. See now text only.
Is there a custom menu that allows me to group the albums to folder or something like this so I can see the album covers while browsing?

Are you talking about browsing in the Albums tab? At the bottom left corner is a menu button where you can choose text or artwork as well as sort options
    .
edit: If you're referring to Music Folder tab, then yes it's text only.

Artis , genre , album view etc ( composer , album artist ) should, give you album covers .
These view are built by the scanner based on your file tagging including artwork .

The file system browser does not do that .it does with it says on the tin.

Ah, true. It's on the track level only - because artwork is in the
tracks. There's no "album artwork" on a folder level. We'd have scan the
folder before displaying the list. That would be way too slow.

That explains it , the eternal question folder browsing .
Sometimes it's not about the lack of tags or bad tags, one can have other strukturer thats not representeraded by tags .
I use it once every 2 months because i have my library ordered in source folders reflecting how i got the music , different downloads stores CD or DVDA and more .

99% of the time I use search , artist random album or genre

In the web GUI, if you select within "Genres" or "Years" then the last entry on the list says "All Albums". Click on it and you can browse that genre or year by album cover: show "Large Artwork" and sort however you like. I've often thought it would be more useful if the "All Albums" (or "All Album Covers") link came up at the top of the list rather than the end.
