Setting up UE Radio - abrupt loss of sound

What would life among Squeezeboxes be like without getting help here?

I set up the radio this morning, connected it to mySB.com and LMS - I listened to musicfrom my local server, radio and podcasts which all worked well - playing first from LMS then mySB.com.

    UE Radio v7.7.3 r16676 Hardware v7

I switched over to LMS again, and tried a radio station - no sound. Not from any of the previously working radio stations or "My Music".

I had switched audio sound effects to OFF, which hadnt affected playback at the time. I changed the setting to ON for scrolling, but no sound came over the speakers when I scrolled.

I switched the Router (Virgin Superhub3) off and on.

By this time the battery showed full charge so I cant take radio off power easily, as the battery is full.

The log showed Shairtunes2 was a problem, so I removed it in plugins, then deleted it from plugins as it could not be deleted.

Still no sound from my radio.

Could it be that another user registered the device? - No it is showing under the correct MAC address on mysqueezebox.com.

Network health tests passed successfully on local player and on mysqueezebox.com

I checked that the same email address is logged in on the local server and the players. I have a SB3 as well as the radio. The SB3 is working fine on ethernet. However, at the moment the router sees the radio, doesnt see the SB3. This router is very buggy so thats unfortunately normal behaviour. It shouldnt affect the Radio's speakers or sound.

I have come to the end of my tether, so I am waiting for a few more suggestions.

Under Diagnostics - Server Info mysqueezebox.com is changing IP address every 20 seconds, even after I reset the router.

Next step I fear is to return to Factory settings

Did you get any error message? And you did try to change volume, didn't you?

Just press & hold power for ten seconds to shut it down.

Its the old "Turn it off, then turn it on" routine from IT crowd!

And it worked. Thats all that was needed.

And yes, I had checked the volume levels before going through all those diagnostics.

No there was no error message onscreen. I looked at the log, and found 2 plugins churning away, Shairport2 and Bookmarks.
Shairport was trying to reopen a flac file, and Bookmarks caused this -

I deleted both as they may not be compatible with a low powered device like the radio.

Server Info shows the IP for mysqueezebox.com is still changing - is that normal behaviour?

Yes, it's the result of the load-balancer sending you to a different IP
    every now and then.
