7.9.1 | music folder and album artist lists not in sync

I just installed a brand new system (linuxmint) and put the latest beta on it. Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1499900819 |
Works like a charm with one exception:

Home > Music Folder > Black Eyed Peas > Black Eyed Peas-Monkey Business rightfully lists the 16 songs of this CD.
Unfortunately Home > Album Artists > The Black Eyed Peas > Monkey Business lists only a single song - strange enough it's the 2nd song of the CD.

    Any hint welcome -mgw

    another strange observation

Home > Music Folder > Beach Boys lists

Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 1)
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 2)
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 3)
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 4)
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 5)

Home > Album Artists > Beach Boys has three entries

    Beach Boy
    The Beach Boys
    Beach Boys, The

    with
Home > Album Artists > Beach Boys
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 1)
    and
Home > Album Artists > The Beach Boys
Good Vibrations - Thirty Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 2)
Good Vibrations: Thirty Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc Three)
    finally
Home > Album Artists > Beach Boys, The
Good Vibrations - 30 Years Of The Beach Boys (CD5)
Good Vibrations: Thirty Years Of The Beach Boys (Disc 4)

the latter without any album art

Your discs don't have consistent tags. Load all the 4 albums up in a single tag editor (mp3tag is a good one) and you'll see that album names are different, some have artistsort tags, and some don't, and even ARTIST and/or ARTISTSORT tags are different across the discs. Make all these consistent and rescan.

Thanks guys - the funny thing is that the music lib is an exact copy of another PC also running LMS (7.8.something) and everything is ok on that side. There is also no reason why this should be different "tag wise" - all discs have been ripped one after another with k3b. Will try the mp3tags and report back.

Even more strange is that the random mix finds the other tracks, not reported und der the BEP's....

note that 7.9 has some info handling options that earlier versions of LMS didn't have, thus the difference in what you're seeing.
