Squeezebox app and iOS remote control for SBT

I use the squeezebox app to control my SBT from my iPhone / iPad, and I find it very convenient.
However, I keep getting messages from iOS stating that the squeezebox app will not be compatible with future versions of iOS and needs to be updated.
Is there any chance that an update will come on time? Will it be updated at all?
Are there any alternatives that have the same or better functionality and no compatibility issues?

    Thanks,

+1. After using iPeng, there is no turning back to the Logitech app.

IMHO iPeng turns a very competent media server into a great one. I can't imagine using LMS without it these days.

Which App should we buy then?
    -iPeng classic - 7CHF
    -iPeng 9 - 9CHF

I only have 1 Squeezebox and I basically used the Squeezebox App on the tablet (with OS 10.3) only as a remote control...

Yes. iPeng Classic will not run under iOS 11, iPeng 9 will, of course.
