I have downloaded piCorePlayer, copied it to SD and used it to boot my pi (early version). I have a video monitor on the pi indicating that the start-up seemed to complete successfully. The last line states "Finished piCorePlayer setup". The pi IP address is 192.168.0.18 but, when examined with my browser, I find that the LMS is not running. Why is this and how do I configure the pi for LMS duties? My intention is to upgrade to a pi3 when I have proved the system works.

    I much appreciate your advice!

    Excellent work!

Working perfectly and sounding great on a Pi 2/piCorePlayer v3.20/hifiberry DAC + and on and old Acer Aspire Revo/Daphile/AudioQuest Dragonfly v1.

One thing I couldn't figure out was how to add items from Spotify to favorites. Is this still possible with Spotty?

I hate to keep asking these basic questions, is there a guide or command list somewhere?
Still wondering if someone can help on this one, i just need to know where to look
    thank you

    FLAC over WIFI

librespot ), the library doing the
heavy lifting in the background, would only return PCM data to LMS. I
decided to compress that data to flac for improved compatibility and its
lower bandwidth usage. But you can turn it off in Settings/Advanced/File
Formats if you want lowest CPU overhead on your system.
Because i'm unable and unwilling to attach al my pi zero's to my ethernet network, i have a few pi's running picore and LMS.

Spotify wasn't working anymore and Spotty worked right after i installed it!
    It's working awesome, however...

the quality of the streams is a little to high for my wifi and pi zero combination.

You said it's possible to change the compression, but i'm unable to find the advanced part... or the settings for that matter.

could you point me in the right direction?

thanks and keep up the good work!!

Quick note on this part: if you're on 64-bit Windows, you might think you need to install the 64-bit version of the VC 2015 runtime. If you're still getting the missing vcruntime140.dll error, go back and download the 32-bit (x86) version of the installer from Microsoft.

Other than that hiccup for me, the Spotty migration went perfectly for me. Thanks!

You also need to install the additional file system tools. Half way down LMS page. These will let you mount your QNAP drive.

How to Install Spotty on a Logitech Squeezebox Touch

Then go to Settings/Advanced/Spotty and follow the instructions....

Hi Michael, I apologize, I can't seem to figure out how to install Spotty. I do not have any programming experience. I have a Logitech Squeezebox Touch. Is there any way to install Spotty directly from the Squeezebox Touch? Spotty is not listed in the App Gallery. Can you provide instructions for a dummy like me?
