That is what I was already afraid of .

Now where did I leave that "Using the official Spotify plugin for dummies" document...

Oh wait, this plugin doesn't support the Classic

You could use the official app with Triode's etc. But it's probably fair
to point you to an alternative: my new "Spotty" plugin. I haven't
released it yet. But as Spotify is about to kill the services needed to
play on SB using the old implementations, this is hopefully a more
    future-proof option.

Its current state is much more mature than the subject might imply :-)

If you don't want to go there just yet, you could configure Triode's
plugin to not show up in the My Apps menu. Then you could add the
official app on mysb.com and use this for the navigation.

I followed the instructions in the initial post, up to and including "Use
Spotify on SB as before" . Great job!

BTW: The system is RPi3 running Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.

The UI part is still a bit behind but no doubt that will change .
Currently I'm missing the ability to remove albums from the library,
something I need since I use the library as kind of "to do" list for new
    albums.

    Again, great job!

Works like a charm... I just need to get used to Spotty's diffent UI.
