    How do I get a second-hand player deregistered from mysqueezebox.com in 2017?

I've seen a lot of posts discussing this problem from back in 2010, but nothing recently.

I have just bought a second-hand original Slim Devices-vintage Transporter from ebay and it is still registered to an old mysqueezebox.com account. I performed a factory reset but, as expected, this didn't degister it. The guy I bought it from isn't responding to emails so is there a way of getting it deregistered without him having to do it himself?

If whoever can do this is reading this post, the MAC address of the player is 00:04:20:...

    Many thanks,

    Andrew

I understand it is not a good idea to publish MAC addresses publicly. You might want to delete that

I have the same problem. I just bought a second(third) hand Transporter from a guy and he wasn't even aware of the Transporter being registered on the fellow he bought the Transporter from. The registered person doesn't reply on emails, and I have no other contact information.

I just sold my Squeezebox Classic, but forgot to unregister the device from my account. It's not tied to mysqueezebox.com account anymore, but the new owner still getting the error message that the device has been registered to a previous user.
I need help to get it deleted from whatever database it's still in.

Tried to find the PM function to contact mherger, but I can't find where to write private messages?

You can log in mysbc (with the email address given in the classic as user name) and delete that classic from your account.
