    Ad Hoc wireless

Is there any way to connect ad hoc wirelessly to a picoreplayer? I want to put it in my car and control it with my phone (not while driving), but without a router in my car I'm not sure how I could do it.

    Thanks,

    Howard

Just a word of warning: If you have an Android phone you'll lose your internet connection this way. It's one of the only points where iOS has Android beat IMO With an Android phone your best bet is going about it the other way round: set up the "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot" and connect your PCP to it.
Main System: Touch; Marantz SR-5004; TMA Premium 905; TMA Premium 901; BK Monolith+ FF; HDI Dune Smart D1; Pioneer PDP-LX5090H
Workshop: iPad 32GB Wifi + Squeezepad (local playback activated)
Wherever needed: Acer Iconia Tab A700 + Squeezeplayer
Car: BananaPi LMS + Squeezeplayer on Android phone - Controller TBD ...

I did try that, but didn't have much success. Sounds like a bit too much trouble just so I can stick the picoreplayer in the car. So many other ways to listen to music :-)

    Have a great week...

Works flawlessly and easily for me. The only issue I have is that the playlist isn't kept due to the Pi effectively "crashing" when cutting the power.
