7.9.0 release candidates - please test!

Ok, ok, we can still make it in less than 3 years since 7.8.0 was released... I've been asked repeatedly when 7.9 would be released. Now I think would be a good time. There haven't been any major changes in quite a while, 7.9 seems really stable. Let's release it before I break it.

I've uploaded what I would consider release candidates to http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Log...Server_v7.9.0/. Please give those builds a test ride. Code-wise they should be identical with the builds from earlier this week (commit 66fd78ae3465d6f3397147e985cc8bad963de67f). But release builds have a tweak here or there in the packaging, depending on the platform. Therefore these are new builds.

No, the automatic update will only work once it's released. Otherwise
this wouldn't be any pre-release, but the real thing :-).

Currently installing over a nightly from about two weeks ago, Windows 10 Lenovo Yoga 300 laptop (2GB RAM, 32GB MMC storage with a ton of external USB3 HDDs).

Got an access error during install - I guess the old processes hadn't quite died - retry worked. Not seen that before, but might just be load.

Serving 2x Touch, 1x Radio, 1x Boom locally and 1x Classic 3 remotely.

Local library is music only, 40,000 tracks almost all FLACs ripped from my own CDs.

Will report any issues here later.

Thanks for the ongoing work on LMS!

Trying logitechmediaserver_7.9.0_amd64.deb and will report any problems if they arise. So far it seems to work fine (dynamic playlists work fine which on some upgrades I have had to do some reconfiguring).

Using Linux Mint 18.1 64bit on a Ivy Bridge i7 Intel PC with 16GB RAM

I am not sure if this is related to the new release, but I had a few problems with the Default skin which I switched to from Classic. The web interface kept refreshing and did not allow me to enter any menus in the player. I managed to bring up settings window and close player window and then switch back to classic skin and it works fine now.

Most likely just the usual stale cached CSS/JS file f...up. Make sure
you wipe your browser's cache and force a full reload of the page. And
don't run Kaspersky AV on your computer :-).

Will run it ASAP. I'm also hoping some other plugins might get updates once 7.9 is 'released'. Is it not quite 3 years? It feels like forever!

Edit: There must be a clue here. I'm 64 today, and I need the 64 bit version......

Edit2: And just to say thanks, again, for all the work you put in on this.
