Napster / Rhapsody ist not working anymore on Squeezebox Touch

    Hey there,

Napster (Rhapsody) on my Squeezebox Touch does not work anymore without a Logitech Media Server on my PC. I have searched for solutions on the web, but did not find any. So I hope to find out a solution in this forum. The detailed behavior is the following:

    1) Connected to Media Server 7.9 on my PC: Napster goes fine with 320kps, AAC.

    2) Connected to mysqueezebox.com: Napster streams with 320kbps, AAC, but playing music stops after 10-20 seconds for buffer refresh (my internet connection is not the problem because of 1).

    3) Connected to "Tiny-Sever" on the Touch itself (Firmeware 7.8): Napster try to stream 192kbps, MP3, only a few songs will play.

Has anyone an idea to solve this issue? I really want to avoid starting my PC everytime I listen to music.

    Thanks!

    Cheers

    Ludwig

Are you EU or US (or closer to which one)?

    Try raising the buffered time.

Thank your for your reply. I played with this value (3 - 30 seconds), but only the frequency and duration of the re-bufferings change.

Try restarting your Router. As it's the Touch itself that communicates with mysbc and not the PC when you're using the Touch stand alone, maybe there went something wrong in their connection.

I will check this today in the evening. Otherwise the only solution for me seems to be a LMS on a local small server (e.g. Raspberry Pi)

I have exactly the same problem with a Squeezebox Touch and a Squeezebox Radio. But already since a couple of weeks ago.
Does the Squeezebox stream the music via a direct connection to Napster, or is the music routed via the Squeezebox Server. In the latter case, this looks like a bottleneck on mysqueezebox.com?

Same problem here since 3 weeks or so. Location Germany, streaming via mysqueezebox.com.

I have contacted Logitech-Support and Napster-Support. Please do the same!

Streams go directly from the service to your device. MySB can't afford
    the traffic :-).
