    LMS in Docker Container, QNAP TS-251+ Log Messages

    I've been able to get LMS running inside a Docker container on my QNAP TS-251+ (Intel Celeron, 8 GB RAM). After some trial-and-error and fiddling with permissions on the NAS, it's working. However, I've been getting the following log message:

    [17-02-26 05:40:14.0032] Slim::Utils::Prefs::Namespace::savenow (338) Error: can't save /mnt/state/prefs/plugin/fulltext.prefs: Permission denied at /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Utils/Prefs/Namespace.pm line 327.

    Any ideas? Is this important?

    Well, this means you haven't sorted out your permissions yet. LMS is not
    allowed to write to that folder or file.

    Many thanks for the reply; I'm brand new to the Docker container stuff but I know that it does write log files into directories outside the container proper so that you can inspect them external to the container. I finally had the time to go back to this, and discovered that the directory in which the Docker container lives only had write permission for admin; I opened that directory structure's write permissions to everybody, and the error appears to have gone away. Keeping my fingers crossed!
