New crop of Squeezebox hardware players

Has anyone else noticed how all of the "audiophile" network players now coming out use Squeezelite?

    Sonicorbiter SE: $300
    SOtM sMS-200: $510 (includes 1-year Roon license: $120)
microRendu: $640 (with power supply: $690)
Bryston BDP Pi: $1300 (actually contains a Raspberry Pi and HiFiBerry HAT: under $100)

Some are even running LMS on these devices. All of them are "headless" but that seems to be the way nowadays.

Musical Fidelity M6 Encore. Not even headless. But out of that price range...

^ Interesting. Hadn't seen that piece before. Had they given it a larger drive and allowed it to be a server, it could be the center of a high-end hi-fi as well as be the heart of a whole-house system. Would also help justify the £3300 price.

... and rename it to 'WSYC 1' (We Saw You Coming'). 3.3K of hype.

It does come with a server and the drive is exchangeable. But I think 2TB is still good enough for most people.
Actually has some server-side features like auto-ripping and tagging, too. So if you are entering the streaming world right now...

    Ça va ...

Just obtained a Denon amp - handles the SB side & also dot sound. Got LMS skill working too using the trusty 30 GBP Joggler.

And how much does a hypex class D 500W module cost these days?
