I have subscribed, but if a fix appears on another thread for the slow playlists issue can someone post it here?

    Edit - Ninja'd on another thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...l=1#post875021

Finally got some time to do some digging.. Turns out what is making the playlists load slowly for me at least is subscribing to any playlists published by Spotify - for instance weekly picks or any moderated playlists. I removed those and instead of subscribing I copied the contents to the family accounts I'm using on the Squeezeboxes. Works like a charm. Adding one immediately breaks it and it takes 30s to load the playlists.

What I did was looking at the plugin log files, remove a "spotify" playlist, restart LMS, load playslists and see if this count lowers. (I noticed that I had to restart LMS in between the "playlist removal" at as the plugin seem to cache the lookup for quite a while in some shape or form.)

    tail -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/spotifyfamily1d.log |grep "unable to load"

    [14:19:47.966397] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 3 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.966445] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 9 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.966536] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 23 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.966897] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 84 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.967004] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 102 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.967253] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 145 of 220 - unable to load
    [14:19:47.967674] process_playlists:1249 bad playlist: 217 of 220 - unable to load

This is on LMS running on Debian, so your paths might differ...

I also had the problem of playlists loading very slowly (approximately 20-30seconds). Removing the playlists published by Spotify (and copying the content to my own playlists) resolved the issue!
    Henrico thks!
