Selecting from the BBCiplayer plugin, playing to the radio, then clicking on the title on the right hand side shows the detail on the left. Sorry if I confused things with the description. Just listening the BBC 2 Country popup before this - brilliant!

I must try fix that especially as I think that is metadata returned by plugin and the URL is invalid notice the "|" at the end of the URLs.

    BBCiPlayer not showing programs

I have just installed LMS (7.8.0) on a new machine (an Allo Sparky). It seems to be running fine, except that BBCiPlayer (1.5.2) displays "empty" where the programs used to be (on the old machine). Listen Live (outside the UK) works fine. BBCiPlayer Extras can find all the programs. The URL displays as (for example) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/availability/radio4.xml, and if I enter this in a browser all the program information seems to be there.

Both the On Demand and the Live stream preferences are set to: DASH>HLS>MP3>FlashAAC

Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

    Martin
    Allo Sparky, LMS 7.8.0 > Piano 2.1 + Kali, Max2Play > AudioEngine 5
    Raspberry Pi > LMS 7.9.0
[Mac Mini > LMS 7.7.5: retired (okay, I broke it)]
    Squeezebox Classic, resting
    iPad mini > Squeezepad
    Android phone > Squeezer
    iPhone > iPeng
    Airplay Bridge > SONY-SRS-X7 speaker

You need 1.5.3 - I ahven't had time to do a proper release as there are a few bugs outstanding - test repo is here http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...lease-repo.xml

Extras will probably die in May as BBC as pulls the plug on the APIs it uses.

    BBCiPlayer not showing programs

Thanks for making this available, bpa. At least for now, however, the programs are still not displaying.

    Moreinfo always helps.
    Don't know what an Allo sparky is - Linux ? arm v6 v7 ?? RPI package ?

If menus are shown under Radio/ BBCiPlayer - then
There is something odd in your system.
Usual suspects are LMS cache and system time.

Anything in the log files ?

7.8.0 is old and was updated to to 7.8.1 as well as there is a 7.9 release.

Yes, the system time is wrong! 2011! Thanks for suggesting this.

The Sparky is armv7l-linux, running Debian - EN - utf8.

BBC R3 test Flac stream - only 2 weeks left

This post relates to V1.5.4 which has only one change from 1.5.3 - to support DASH Flac. It is a rough and ready addition.

The BBC have been testing DASH Flac stream for last few months ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/taster/projects...-concert-sound also http://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/blog/2017-04...lity-flac-dash ).
I have done a mod to BBCiPlayer to play these Flac streams. This has been discussed on the "original" bBCiPlayer DASHthread. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...version/page28

Although this test is due to end in 2 weeks - it looks like the BBC may be using same technology for Proms so it may be helpful for users to test. see https://www.whathifi.com/news/bbc-pr...dio-first-time and http://www.tvbeurope.com/bbc-deliver...c-level-audio/

    -----------------------------------------------
Since time is short - this is V1.5.4 quickly put together. Only change is for Flac. Not extensively tested.

    Change the plugin repo to
    http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...lease-repo.xml

    Install as usual..

Two new menus "Radio 3 Flac" in Live & Live (non-UK). This only plays DASH-Flac format.

Make sure plugin "Live Stream Preference" is "Dashflac > DASH"
Make sure "Seconds to delay live stream start" is set to 1 min or more.

No skip back ability as BBC only provides last 10 mins of live stream.
