i've got a wired squeezebox upstairs and a wireless downstairs. the wireless
is pretty far away from the access point and i usually have a signal
strength of around 20-30%. this has generally been good enough to play my
256bit mp3 files with the occasional drop out. when i tried to sync the 2
boxes it doesn't seem to work at all. the interface on both boxes becomes
sluggish and unresponsive, the song starts - stops etc. my question is, is
there more wireless bandwidth being used in a synchronized setting than in
just regular streaming to one box? is there a real-world minimum wireless
signal strength needed to sync these 2 devices?
thanks
