    Success Story with HiFiBerry Digi+

I've been using piCorePlayer since V1.0 for feeding digital audio via HDMI to my surround receiver.
There were always some distortions or clicks, but I always though that either the sources (network radio streaming) were unreliable or the local LMS that handled the synchronization between the piCore and a Transporter caused the trouble.
A switch to a Raspi 3 improved the situation a bit. Finally, I decided to try out another option. I got a HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, and the matching metal case. Connection is now through the cinch output, HDMI is off.

What can I say? Perfect sound (except when there are network problems), up to 192kHz. Configuration was easy, thanks to the by now very nice web interface; it just works.

    Well done!

if you are able to shh into your RPi I would like to see the output from a "top" command.

Could you please try to remove equalizer, and re-enable your sound card. Then back up and reboot

Hm curious, after removing the eq (with the steps you described) I've seen the device on my iPad, tried to connect, but there was an error.
And now again the 3.11 Pi is completely disappeared, even after reboot

    ---edit---

Ah, ok. Just select the standard analog audio output option and it works. Ok I don't hear anything but the device is there and I can select it and the iPad plays music.

So maybe a bug with the hifiberry amp+ output setting?!
Btw, is it right that there is now only the hifiberry amp and not the amp+?

    Allo Kali setup

    Hey everyone,
this is a bit off topic but maybe you can help me setup the Kali board I just bought.
It's misbehaving on 16 bit tracks, my dac is confused as per the bit depth of the signal it receives. It displays 16 bit most of the time but regularly jumps to 24 bit. It never did that without the Kali!
And 24 bit streams are fine including DoP.
I tried locking ALSA on 24, 24_3 bit or 32 bit it doesn't change a thing and prevents DOP from being passed through correctly depending on what I choose.
The Allo team is trying to reproduce my setup (hat dans don't display what they are receiving...)
    Here's what it looks like:

    Anything you recognize ?
    Syno 415+ with LMS 7.9 -> Picoreplayer 3.11 with Audio-GD I2S hdmi output -> PS Audio DirectStream -> Pass Labs XP20 -> Pass Labs XVR-1 -> 2 x Karan KA S 400 -> XTZ Divine 100.49 -> happiness

Has someone looked into this a bit deeper?

Sounds like a pretty useful extension to me, though I don't own a single Airplay-Device...

Any plans to support Pi-ZERO-W on piCorePlayer ?

I'm running pCP3.11 on a Pi-2 with Ethernet and I want to add a new Box.
I picked up a Pi-0W and a Phat DAC card and was planning on loading pCP3.11 on it but have a problem getting WiFi enabled under Tinycore.
I was able to get the Pi-0W on WiFi with Raspbian but was not able to get Tinycore to recognize the WiFi chip-set.
Tinycore says all the WiFi tools are loaded but nothing. I think there is a missing driver for the wifi chip but could not locate that driver.

So I have two problems to tackle.
    1) WiFi - Need to get it on the TC on the Network
    2) Figure out why I can get the Phat DAC to work.

Please follow this thread for updates. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...orePlayer-3-10

The Zero-W requires both firmware and kernel updates. pCP will be updated once we get our hardware to test (We have other upgrades in the works too).
We don't get advance notice of new hardware, so we have to fend for ourselves to find the cards in stock somewhere. Mine is on a slow truck from Canada to the USA.
