    Tool for opening Transporter case?

Looking to remove the chrome rack handles and cant find a hex key the right size to open her up to remove the handles.
Can anyone advise please on what I should use, perhaps even a link (UK based like myself) if possible?

    Thanks.

    Hi Gazjam,

The allen key size is 1/16". You should be able to find it on Ebay.

    Cheers,

What are you going to put in place of the handles?

I put some nice black anodized screws in mine when I had it in the system.

Do you know what kind of screws you used? IE: What size, and where you got them? Thanks.

Not figured that bit yet out myself...
Black anodised dome head screws would be the way to go I think?

    Crazy thought....
My Transporter sits across from my preamp in my hifi rack and looks like this:

Honestly, I completely forget. I probably got them at fastener express or small parts. I do have a pack of "Mil-Spec Stainless Steel 18-8 Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw Black Oxide Finish #6-32 x 7/8" Length MS51957-33B" that has four missing, so that could be them. Unfortunately, the Transporter is packed away in the abyss known as my basement and can't be easily accessed.

As long as the head fits in the recess in the front, you are okay. You will need nuts, as there is no thread; the rack handles are threaded and you insert a screw from the inside.
