    Numbar tre

    Hi, just a short share for your fun. In my faeivorite dialect.
    I actually consider it a project now, having to limit these things somehow.
    I'm gonna make another number 4, then it should be a complete series.
    The prototype °4 has a battery, ETH,WLAN Client, LTE Cell, WPA2 AP with traffic over VPN, and of course, MUSIC as before.

    Cheers.
    Manu

    EDIT: for your understanding: "Quality" is a listener which restarts squeezelite in 3 modes: mp3-only, flac 44.1khz, and flac unlimited.

    Hi epoch1970
    Sorry so late, I wasn't aware somebody posted again...

    However I couldn't manage to play anything. I went down to a 32kbps mp3 file, but something was going wrong. Ping is over 70ms, I guess it doesn't help but it looked more like the SB3 was not receiving the stream at all or not able to respond.
    There are 3 firewalls along the way, and one of the openvpn server is very outdated, but I didn't want to mess with the setup too much so I left at that.
    I guess I'll scratch that itch one of these days.
    Hm yes the reason I don't use Bridges is just that I never know what's gonna happen since the situations the Box is in, always change. Sometimes it's private nets, sometimes bigger business nets. So it's more for the peace of mind for me.

    I guess for that manual way, superduper would be to extract the discovery perl part from LMS and run it on the PI. I mean, just for the idea. But it's very much trial'n'error with those tiny Radio monsters.

    But 70ms is actually not so much in my experience, I mean weak APs can easily go up that much. And normal coaxial connections, also the buggy one we got, are also adding to the misery.

    Interesting - could you upload the code to GitHub or anywhere else to
    share? Or give an howto? I would very much like to try it out.

    Bonsoir
    Yes of course, its here:
    https://github.com/martynchamberlin/WebView

    I'm not sure if this was all, besides the icons and some specs, but I edited CustomNSWindow.m as follows:

    Code:
    .....
    - (void)setupWebPage
    {
        [self.webView setUIDelegate:self];
        NSString *urlAddress = @"http://YourDomainorIP:9000";
        NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:urlAddress];
        NSURLRequest *requestObj = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url];
        [[self.webView mainFrame] loadRequest:requestObj];
        [self setContentView:self.webView];
    }
    .....
    i think you can also put the MAC adress of the player as in:

    Code:
    .....
    - (void)setupWebPage
    {
        [self.webView setUIDelegate:self];
        NSString *urlAddress = @"http://YourDomainorIP:9000/?player=b8:27:eb:49:7d:61";
        NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:urlAddress];
        NSURLRequest *requestObj = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url];
        [[self.webView mainFrame] loadRequest:requestObj];
        [self setContentView:self.webView];
    }
    .....
    to more or less force a specific player. I guess though this is also cookie/session depending.
    BTW I cannot open the settings page, probably because it is not a _self target link and the app cannot open windows...

    ... and I remember vaguely: You have to drop in ALL icons and in correct sizes, so PSD export the whole set of png's first.
    It's also possible that Xcode complained about wrong syntax and auto-corrected it. And of course, doing a signed application doesn't work without a costly Apple Dev registration for OSX Apps, so do it without.

    I've researched the issue since. It was... an LMS format conversion rule that was broken.
