    I do use C3PO.

    Here is the last command:

    Code:
    LAST EXECUTED COMMAND

    At: 2017/08/10 20:29:51

    Profile:

    flc-pcm-*-fe:c6:a1:a2:3a:bf

    Command:

    [flac] -dcs --totally-silent $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -q -t wav - -t wav -b 32 --buffer 32768 --multi-threaded - gain -h rate -v -I -b 90.7 384000

    Tokenized command:

    "/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/x86_64-linux/flac" -dcs --totally-silent -- - | "/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/x86_64-linux/sox" -q -t wav - -t wav -b 32 --buffer 32768 --multi-threaded - gain -h rate -v -I -b 90.7 384000

    and here's the player log:

I disabled C3PO for the player and now the stream plays, I deally I would like to upsample some of the lower bitrate material to get the best out of my dac (easier/better filtering). But at least the stream plays now.

Thanks so much for your help!

There is no problem resampling - just you need to set it up correctly. I don't knwo C3PO except that is doesn't always work. I think it makes assumptions which are not always correct.

    edit:

Looking at the C3PO command - it is strange why is it using flac to decode when sox can accept flac as input - there is no need for the flac part of the process.

Looking at the logs somehting doesn't make sense:

The log says squeezelite sends audio/x-flac but you squeezelite log says it send audio/L16. At a guess you posted the wrong section of squeezelite log. Eitrher way - C3PO is the root cause. It may be easier/simpler just to add resampling to a custom-convert.conf file.

    Code:
    17-08-10 20:59:39.1734] Slim::Player::Squeezebox2::directHeaders (471) Processing headers for direct streaming:
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Server: Logitech Media Server (7.9.1 - 1501791870)
    Connection: close
    Content-Type: audio/x-flac

    [17-08-10 20:59:39.2489] Slim::Player::Player::_buffering (1140) Buffering... 0 / 261120

Assuming resampling is being done for all formats and not just Flac - to determine what C3PO is doing "wrong" - you should compare the transcode chain used for normal R3 AAC against thge one used for R3 Flac.

What sort of player ? Transcoding and internal buffer may affect this.

Have you checked is the same true on the BBC browser based player ? It is easy to check - jump to one minute from end.

Just from experience, I have found that BBC set "Listen Again" duration according the program broadcast duration (e.g.28mins in a 30 mins slot) but occasionally there is a promo at the start for about 1 min which means the last one 1 min of the broadcast is chopped usually credits. Even worse is 4Extra where sometimes the promo is 3 mins and 3 mins are chopped from end of program.
I have now looked at the Squeezebox screen while listening to a program. I have Now Playing set to show Time Remaining.

As far as I can see (it's a bit difficult, as my reaction times may be slow) on Radio 4, the time remaining does not go down to zero but always stops at three or four seconds.

I haven't checked any other ways of using a player yet.

I have just tested this with the 15 minute drama from Monday. Sure enough playback ends before the timer remaining has reached zero. Sometimes 7 seconds sometimes 4 seconds but always early. It plays to the end on the Android iplayer app. Because this program does not seem to have any credits at the end it cuts off in mid sentence.

The time info on the playing bar is not accurate and is updated separate to the audio being played.

Have you checked whether you can hear more audio on BBC iPlayer when played thriough a web browser compared to same program played through plugin.
During development of DASH I used "tweet of the day" and checked many instances. In early versions, there used to be be a bug and I fixed it. I wonder has it come back with some combination of LMS and player. What is the player ?

Did you see my comment just before yours? I am seeing the same thing with 1.5.4.4. Android iplayer plays to the end

    Sorry didn't see your comment.
The timer is "disconnected" from the playback - it is like the program image. The only real test and the one I used is to compare playback via BBC using BBC player on a web browser vs playback vai theplugin.

I'll do some test this weekend.

    edit:

Did a quick test - looks like last segment might not be sent about max 6.5 secs.
