    Scrolling on the 7" screen

Scrolling of long names of artists, songs etc. on the 7" screen is far from smooth. I would like to make it better and remember a post of someone here in the forum who went into the code and had some success altering it. But I cannot find this post anymore nor do I remeber the name of the poster.
Can anyone give me a hint on that, please?

My head is a brain-free zone. I installed 3.20 from scratch and screen dimming already works. I just wasn't looking in the right place for the control.

Since you don't have the 7" rpi screen your change won't be run.

The if statement is checking the eventno for the rpi screen, comment it out.

    Try this.
    Code:
    if [ "$JIVELITE" = "yes" ]; then
            echo -n "${BLUE}Starting Jivelite... ${NORMAL}"
    #        eventno=$( cat /proc/bus/input/devices | awk '/FT5406 memory based driver/{for(a=0;a>=0;a++){getline;{if(/mouse/==1){ print $NF;exit 0;}}}}')

                    export JIVE_NOCURSOR=1
    # export TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/$eventno

Try enabling the xy swap option in ts.conf.

You'll need to update to my latest libts.tcz package to be able to make the required changes.

Login to your picoreplayer and run the following cmds.

    Code:
    # Remove the original ts.conf symlink
    sudo rm /usr/local/etc/ts.conf

    # Backup config
    pcp bu

    # Install the latest libts.tcz package
    cd mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/optional
    wget https://github.com/ralph-irving/tcz-libts/raw/master/libts.tcz
    wget https://github.com/ralph-irving/tcz-libts/raw/master/libts.tcz.md5.txt

    # Confirm the download was successful.
    md5sum -c libts.tcz.md5.txt
    libts.tcz: OK

    # reboot
    pcp rb

    # enable the xyswap option
echo "module linear xyswap" >> /usr/local/etc/ts.conf

    # make sure we have both required modules
    cat /usr/local/etc/ts.conf
    module_raw input
    module linear xyswap

    # quit jivelite and let it restart
    # are the axis correct? if yes, then add ts.conf to the list of pcp files to backup
    echo "usr/local/etc/ts.conf" >> /opt/.filetool.lst

    # backup config
    pcp bu

    Jivelite default skin option

Hi, When I power down my piCorePlayer and power it back up, it starts Jivelite with a grid screen. Is there a way to default it to a different scree? I'm using LIRC remote and the SB Remote has no way to send "Enter". I'd love it to start with the HD Skin (1280X720)

    Thanks,

    Howard

Select whatever skin you want. Then go to Settings / piCorePlayer /
    Backup Settings (or similar).

    Backlight Extension Update Kills Squeezelite

    Worked for me.
I'm running 3.20 on an RPi 3. I was experiencing the same problem as others with it not recognizing the Raspberry Pi display.
After installing the referenced extension using the Extensions page, Squeezelite will no longer start after either soft or cold reboot.
The Extensions page indicates a couple of possible errors: the "dependency file" and "tree file don't exist", although I found an appropriately named .tree file in /tmp.
The extension shows up in the /usr/local/tce.installed folder.
The extensions files are in place in the correct folders, per the list file.
I don't see any errors in the pcp_squeezelite.log file.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this would be appreciated.

    I may have solved this.
I reimaged a SD card and started over with the configuration using the following sequence:
Resize FS, Set Rotation=0, Load Backlight extensions, Install JiveLite, Enable Shairport Sync, update password, hostname and then the audio output.
I had been using USB Audio as the audio output using the parameter, FRONT:CARD=C20,DEV=0.
This appears to have been the problem. Changing it back to Analog caused Squeezelite to run normally. After some experimentation, I finally arrived at using sysdefault:CARD=C20
So far, this seems to work. I'm getting audio and I can control the behavior of the display.
