LMS 7.8.1 or 7.9.0? Which way to go?

As an ordinary user you shouldn't be using 7.9 at this point.

I changed to default to point to 7.9 for svn/trunk. Could you svn up
    your trunk and double-check? Thanks!

I have a similar question. I use the Debian "apt-get" process. Can you describe which versions will be accessible via Stable, Testing and Unstable releases? Would there/could there be an alternate path for the "community" versions vs. the "official" version? I'd like to be running the cleanest "7.8" version (likely 7.8.1) which picks up the "community" updates for 7.8, and current bug fixes (this could be the "Stable" release???)
    Thanks!

I'm not very familiar with the debian repos, tbh. But stable is 7.7 (and
will be, because it's the official release). The others I don't know...
    I guess they're 7.8. There's no other way than git/svn to get 7.9
currently. There will be nightly builds to download, but I can't say for
    the deb/yum repositories, I'm sorry.

I'm guessing you are looking for the official 7.8.0 community release, in that case it's found here:

    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Log...Server_v7.8.0/

Maybe it would be good to add a link to the stable 7.8.0 release somewhere on the wiki since I don't think it's what you get from http://www.mysqueezebox.com ?

I guess http://www.mysqueezebox.com still refers to 7.7.3 since that's the last official Logitech release.

Throw in gits, svns, trunks, etc. and I'm NOT at all confused, am I?
