    Need Linux Assistance

Did an upgrade to Fedora 3 and now the server can't find my music
    directories. I get the "Oops - '/home/woodp/nas/Music' doesn't seem to be a
valid directory" error. On the other hand, it will accept /home/woodp but it
won't navigate below that to find the music. Obviously, /home is owned by
root, and woodp owns /home/woodp, /home/woodp/nas and /home/woodp/nas/Music

In Fedora 2, I just chmod'ed everything to 755 and it worked fine. That
trick isn't working with Fedora 3. any suggestions?

    Phil,

I'm running FC2 but have not yet taken the plunge to FC3 so I'd be
interested to hear how the upgrade went (off list, of course).

Regarding your problem, I suspect it might be related to SELinux which is
enabled by default on FC3. From the Release notes [1]:

SELinux - This includes a new "targeted" policy that monitors specific
daemons with less intrusion than the strict policy in use before. This
policy is enabled by default. For more information, refer to:
    http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq/

    Cheers,

    R.
