Nice to read, below, lots of praise for 771.
Well, mine won't work. I begin to get the feeling the very best inducement to get something other than a Squeezebox is to spend 5 minutes or 5 hours trying to make a SB work.
Ok rant over.
The details -- macbook air, latest software updates all in order. SB3, wireless connected.
I get to the point where it is "Obtaining IP Address", does the count down, and nothing. I suppose I didn't' need to try it 20 times, but I did. I restarted the computer, I restarted the SB, I made sure no software updates are available for the mac. Still the same.
I have no idea what to do now, but a sledge hammer from the garage is suggesting itself. I'm sure that's just the frustration happening.
Last time I used it (with 7.7.0), I'd just got it working -- god knows how, it was the same deal then as now, if I recall correctly.
Is there a magic line of code I need to type in terminal mode, or some such thing that would be self evident if I'd done my PhD in computer science instead of psychology?
Near Squeezebox-icidal frustration aside, I'd sure appreciate a pointer here, cause I'm baffled. Thanks.
