Spotify 'country' question

I live in Japan, and have generally kept my eye off Spotify as it is not available here. But, I have a question...

If I use my VPN service to spoof the Spotify site into thinking I am in the UK, I assume I can set up a Premium account. If I then instal Triodes's plugin, will I be able to access Spotify through my Squeezbox even when I am not using VPN (via my IP address in Japan)?

Can't say whether the plugin will work - but VPN access does work for the PC version. I just pump the output using dsl bridge to my player. I only have a free account so I get all the adverts too!
