I've recently been hammering away at my SB server using SqueezePlay Beta running on the same PC as the server. Since it is all on the one PC, there is no possibility of network problems. Yet I still ran into tracks that skipped and other interruptions.
Process explorer revealed that mysqld.exe was using about 10% of my CPU, but my C: drive was extremely busy at times, and the SqueezePlay UI became unresponsive.
It seems that under certain circumstances, the SQL component either fails to keep up, or goes off to do something on its own, and doesn't respond.
So, if you've checked everything in your network, then take a look at how the server itself is performing.
