Help this poor noob install his first plugin.

I have installed superdatetime, and configured it on the squeezebox server, meaning that I entered my zip code which appeared to be the only necessary config.

But on the Radio when I go to settings; screen; screensavers; when off; I have analog clock, digital clock (black), etc. but nothing about s.d.t.

I spent 45 minutes searching the forums about this, so my apologies if I missed something.

Note, I just want the weather forecast to show up on my radio, so whatever the most expeditious manner we can make that happen is okay with me.

squeezebox radio running 7.5.1.r9218

I don't know the difference between an applet and a plugin, but by browsing on the Radio's settings menu, I did manage to find an applet for weather with big animated icons. I have to admit I don't like the look of that one as well as superdatetime.

I should also clarify, that on the Radio menus, I do have superdatetime listed, and I can manually go to it and see the weather, but my question is, how do I get sdt to come up automatically as a screensaver?

Any suggestions?

You need to install both the SDT plugin on SBS and the CustomClock applet for the Radio in order to use it as a screensaver. Btw an applet installs on the newer devices like Radio & Touch and a plugin on the SBS.
