I am assembling a music server/desktop for a friend. He is currently a light
user of Windows and is a good candidate to move completely to Linux.
To that end, I intend to put his music on a partition that can be reliably
read and written from both OSs.
One question I have is whether Slimserver configuration files, etc, can be
placed on that shared partition and used by Slimserver from both OSs without
issue.
I am leaning towards KNOPPIX for the Linux distro.
Any suggestions on the best filesystem type for the shared parition? He has
a Lot of music.
Thanks!
