View Full Version : Strange result for slimserver status on linux

This is a problem specific to linux.
When I type /etc/rc.d/init.d/slimserver status I get:
slimserver.pl (pid
20984) is running...
(with the break) as a result. No other status requests
do this. I suspect there is something broken
in the status call to slimserver, but I don't know
if it is related to the latest nightly (I'm running 8/27),
or if it's always been like that.

Is this the Redhat or the Suse version of the startup script? I can't
reproduce the error on my RH setup here.

I get the same result with Mandrake 10, standard init.d script.

Well this is just downright weird....clearly the Mandrake and RH9 pidof
behave differently from Fedora's version. I'll look into this tomorrow.
I've been exchanging emails with Paul offline and he gave me some good
debug info so this should be solved pretty painlessly.
