Sort playlist by date?

Because I'm on metered broadband, I'll often save 12 hours of streaming to listen to later. The station I listen to doesn't drop track markers right at the end of songs, so if the directory of songs isn't played in exact order, the end of the track gets cut off, then the last four seconds of another track is played, then the next track. Pretty unlistenable.

Is there a way to sort tracks by timestamp, or failing that can I generate a playlist with different software and load that playlist with SBS?

It appears by the general silence that sorting playlist by timestamp isn't possible.

Is it then possible to create a playlist in another app, save it and then open it with SBS?

Yes. You will want to make the .M3U playlist with software running on the SBS host so the paths, drive letters, etc. match what SBS expects.
