Hi
First, SBS works nice on iPAD. There are few drawing glitches, but these are very minor and in general workable.
The real issue, however, is with the buttons and text size, so these shall be like 50% bigger: iPad works with finger :-(
I changed the schema to TOUCH, but it is so ugly. I just want same default one but adapter to the touch interface

Have you looked at using iPeng instead of the web interface?
Or... have you tried zooming the browser to make everything larger?

Was iPeng designed for iPad? I think it is (still) an iPhone application.
Regarding zoom-in, sure, but that's not practical, do not you think?
I can work with some stylus, of course, as well

I think there's another thread or part of one discussing how iPeng can best be adapted to the iPad. Do a search.

I don't know, I don't have an iPad so haven't tried it. What makes it impractical? Either the interface scales well and is usable, or it doesn't. Have you tried it?

Yes, zoom does not work very well.
I do not want the iPeng, I've seen it screenshots and I do not like it, anyway it was designed for a small screen and very few elements fit inside.
I prefer the SBS default skin I used to.
I would like to go back to skinning issue.

Pippin is working on iPeng for iPad. I think this will be good when it's out. For now, I agree it would be good to have a nice looking interface for the iPad. Something like the Touch skin but with a bit of colour!

Zoom in the browser doesn't work the same was on an iPad and iPhone as on a desktop browser. On a desktop browser the zoom level changes and the width of the page stays the same, with the result that everything gets bigger but in theory is all still visible.
On the iPad/iPhone instead when you zoom in you are zooming in on part of the page, as you zoom in you no longer get to see the whole page. So zooming in to use the controls on SBS would be a very different and annoying experience to zooming in on SBS on a desktop browser. You would have to keep zooming into the controls, zooming out, zooming back in etc
The iPad/iPhone zoom method makes sense when reading webpages, because you typically zoom into the column of text and keep reading down, it make less sense on web application type "webpages" like SBS.
However looking at that shot of the iPad, I'm surprised any zooming is needed. I have no problem clicking on buttons on my iPhone that occupy the same screen space as they appear in that photo.

It is fine to read, but the buttons are too small and stand very close to each other.

I've just had a play and it's a bit fiddly but usable. One thing that people might not know is to scroll within list you need to use a 2 finger scroll else you just move the whole screen around. The best way of implementing the 2 fingered scroll is push 2 fingers together and have them one above the other

How long have you had your iPad and did you have an iPhone/iPod Touch before ? It could be you just need practice ;)

No, just practice. I don't have the thinnest fingers on the planet, but once you get used to touching the screen very gently and also get used to trusting that it will work out what you clicked on, you'll be surprised how small links/images can be and still be successfully tapped.

nails don't work, the screen is capacitive. As said you just need practice, or you can always pinch out and zoom in.

The iPad browser obviously needs another zoom mode. :)

I'm in the same boat. Many of the skins don't seem to register the taps right in the iPad. Am using the Touch skin now, but one thing is driving me nuts. I want to keep the player status screen open while listening to net radio, but it keeps kicking back to Playlists, which are empty. I set auto refresh time to an hour, but that didn't fix. Any suggestions?
