Password changes in Squeezebox Server Control Panel

On the account tab in the Squeezebox Server Control Panel there are boxes for email and password. Suddenly my password has been changed, not by me. When I enter my password, click Apply and the OK. Open Server Control Panel and there are the wrong number of characters in the password box. They are doubled. I suspect the password is somehow being repeated. Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you seeing any problems other than the number of characters appearing to be incorrect? Like, can you not log in to http://localhost:9000/ using the password you set?

What makes you think that the number of dots in the password box should match the length of your password? The password is hidden for security reasons, and this includes hiding its actual length.

Well, I really don't know if the actual password is different than the number of dots. For the first 4 months I have had the device the number of dots matched the number of characters in my password. I started having problems with Internet Radio connections, noticed that the number of dots was were exactly double the number of characters in my password and there were messages in the server log indicating it could not make a network connection. So... I assumed, and yes I know assuming is dangerous, that there was a password problem. Since I have done an uninstall and clean install things are working, no failed messages in the server log. But, the number of characters is still double the "old" password. Just seems weird to me.
