What does "Save" do?

In the web interface, Albums and Tracks have a "Save" button (a heart image, and the tooltip "Save").

What do I achieve by clicking the "Save" button?

Save would usually apply if I'd made a change, but I don't see any way to make changes to the Album/Track information.
