I've just today noticed an issue with SqueezePlay regarding track info on internet radio. I've been running SqueezePlay for a few months on my laptop, simply for controlling volume, choosing music, etc. given that I'm sitting in front of the laptop anyhow. I'm running 7.4.2 SbS (windows xp) serving several SBs. It works just fine for these purposes.

PROBLEM: When playing an internet radio station that streams artist/title/ and sometimes art (e.g., RadioParadise or SomaFM stations), the artist/track or art doesn't change to current info when the track changes. However, if I click on the "+" in upper corner to get more info, the correct track/artist is listed there even though not displayed in the main now playing window.

I do NOT have this track display issue when playing music from my own library or from Pandora. Seems to be isolated to internet radio with artist/track streams. Again, everything plays correctly, it is just the now playing display of info that is wrong. And by the way, the display is instantly changing to the correct now playing info on my iPeng (iphone), the controller, and on my transporter display. It is only not changing to correct display in Squeezeplay. I thought there might be a lag timing I could set in squeezeplay, but don't see any such command. I'm running 7.5 nightly (2/24) of squeezeplay. I tried to revert back to 7.4 but have the same issue even with 7.4.

Thoughts? Can anyone replicate the problem?

Additional info:

(1) If I click on the shuffle icon on squeezeplay, it will instantly change the now playing to correct info. Clicking on the art itself, doesn't cause SP to display the correct track info, it will only cycle between no art, art only, or art and artist/title (but of the incorrect track).

(2) The info displayed in the SbS web UI is correct.

Update: With SqueezePlay 7.5 beta nightly from April 3, 2010, this problem seems to have solved itself. (nothing changed about the 7.4.2 SbS running on Windows XP).

I spoke too soon. worked yesterday, but today back to same problem. Only on internet radio with track info (somafm or radioparadise) does the displayed track and/or cover not change with song change. again, shows properly on WebUI, transporter display, controller display, and ipeng. And within Squeezeplay, if I click on the "+" for more info, I see correct track. Just NOT on the main squeezeplay nowplaying screen. Odd. If I leave now playing and return, still wrong track info. But if I simply change volume or change mode (shuffle, repeat) the correct track instantly shows up!

p.s. I seem to be talking to myself here. I'm sure there must be a few others that use SqueezePlay as a controller on their laptops to control SBs. Am I the only one with this issue? More curious than anything as it is not a serious problem.

Gary, I have the same issue with my Radio, also with Radio Paradise and CBC Radio 1. Same as you everything displays properly on my SB3s and Boom, just not the Radio. I looked on bugzilla and didn't find anything, maybe someone else will post so additional info or advice here.

I suppose this makes some sense. As far as I know the SqueezePlay OS mimics (is the same as?) the OS on the Radio. I had assumed that the Controller was the same OS as well (but the controller doesn't have the problem in my case).
